As a photographer, Alexander Sands is dedicated to capturing the warmth of interior spaces in his work. With an appreciation for organic beauty and subtle detail, there is a story to be brought to life through visual portrayal, through the interconnection of space, time, and the human/divine inspiration of architects, builders, occupants, and artist's vision alike.

A highly experienced creative personality for over 25 years, Sands' multi-faceted artistic background includes visual, as well as auditory expressions. From music and writing to painting, to home craftsmanship, to photography, the heart of Sands' work rests in his ability to listen and observe, and to turn expression into action.
In 2021, Sands opened Vestige Concept Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA, producing nearly 30 rotating art exhibitions in a 3 year span, playing host to over 600 artists as well as performance pieces. During this time, Sands began interest in 360° "Virtual Tour" Photography and pioneered linking gallery artwork to an online point-of-purchase.

Working with art consumers and collectors alike, Sands began interest in Interior Photography as a means of documenting art, expanding this to include the underlying architecture after purchasing his first home in 2024. Working closely on the renovation, Sands began the "seeing" of the sublime spaces that bring centering and joy into what some people often overlook as mundane.
